Running from February 19th to 24th, the Los Cabos Open will commemorate its eighth edition this year, and tournament organizers have assembled a star-studded lineup.
The draw for this tournament came to light, and now the prize money figures have also been revealed. Although the Los Cabos Open has been held annually every August since it was incepted, it has been allocated an early start date in 2024.
Given Los Cabos' appeal as one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world, four of the world's Top 20 will make the long trip to the Baja Peninsula. But aside from touring around award-winning restaurants and relaxed beach atmospheres, players will compete for an ATP trophy and prize money.
The top favorites will be the top four seeds: Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alex de Minaur, and Casper Ruud. Denmark's Holger Rune withdrew ahead of schedule, meaning Zverev will be the only Top 10 player.
There are a number of interesting names who are unseeded and capable of producing a scalp or two. These are Jordan Thompson, Matteo Arnaldi, Jack Draper, and Miomir Kecmanovic.
This ATP 250 tournament will allocate a prize money purse of $915,245, which is a 7% increase from last year's total, and it is the largest since the event became part of the ATP Tour in 2016. Therefore, this increment will also be reflected in all rounds of the tournament.
The champion in Los Cabos stands to make $139,190, which is more than what Tsitsipas earned from winning in 2023. Additionally, the winner will also receive 250 ranking points. The beaten finalist will earn $81,195 and receive 165 points.
Main draw compensation begins in the first round. These players will be guaranteed a payoff of $9,815 but won't receive any ranking points. Second-rounders, meanwhile, get $16,065 and 25 points.
Reaching the quarterfinal stage will see players take home $26,665 along with 50 points. Be sure to check the complete breakdown of prize money for the 2024 Los Cabos Open below.
