Piers Morgan Takes A Dig At Emma Raducanu After 'Trashing Men' In Advert

Emma Raducanu did a commercial where she talked about women's empowerment, and British TV host Piers Morgan didn't like it.

Emma Raducanu has been away from tennis for a long time due to injuries and surgeries, which will keep her away from the sport until next year. She started practicing recently but explained that a return won't happen until next year.

In the meantime, Raducanu stayed busy doing various things, including a commercial where she talked about women's empowerment, explaining to little princesses that they don't need a prince to do well in life. It's a pretty non-controversial take, albeit quite different from kids' stories of the past, where Prince Charming was supposedly the main character in a princess's life.

Not anymore; it's 2023, and women have a chance to take control of their own lives and do well. Just the way Raducanu did when she won the US Open. She was all alone on the court but stepped up to the occasion and won the trophy.

British TV host Piers Morgan didn't like it, though, calling it 'woke', which is hardly surprising from a person who sometimes has very outspoken and pretty controversial takes. It's not the first time Morgan blasted Raducanu, and he doesn't seem to hold back when talking about the 2021 US Open champion.

Of course, we all know, the best way to improve the aspirations of women is by trashing men. As Emma said, women don’t need men at all. She certainly didn’t need men to get to where she is today… except from her father, who manages her career and her five coaches who are all male.

Then there is her agent Max Eisenbud who is very, very good at maximising her income… despite the fact he is a man. And then in a final twist of this tale of virtue signalling treachery, it turns out the chairman, chief executive and chief financial officer on HSBC’s board of directors are all men too.
