Tennis Coach Pierre Bouteyre is being accused of rape and sexual assault by French professional player Fiona Ferro.

The alleged offences are said to have occurred in Saint-Raphael, a resort town in southeast France, between 2012 and 2015. Ferro was 15 in 2012 and 18 in 2018. A regional French newspaper called Nice-Matin broke the news first. Former French professional player Bouteyre also served as Alize Cornet's prior coach.

The report states that Bouteyre is aware of the accusations but has denied all accusations of rape, with his lawyer Virginie Pin disputing the allegations.

"He recognizes the materiality of the facts but disputes the accusation of rape," said his lawyer.

According to the initial account, Ferro reported her old instructor to the police in Fréjus on February 25 and accused him of rape and sexual assault. According to reports, investigators are trying to determine if there have been any further victims.
