'You Were The One Hiding Assets': Kyrgios Slams 'Potato' Becker After 'Credibility' Statement

Nick Kyrgios and Boris Becker both like to be respected, and that clearly showed in their recent spat on social media.

The 28-year-old made quite a few media appearances over the past few weeks, and during one of those, Kyrgios made a claim about past generations of players, saying they wouldn't stand a chance today.

One of the past leaders on the ATP Tour, Boris Becker, didn't like that statement, and he made sure to voice his opinion on social media, saying that Kyrgios has no "credibility" because he has never won a singles Grand Slam title.

That was a statement that the Australian didn't like, and he immediately hit back at the German coach with a series of tweets, trying to prove his statement about credibility wrong.

"Hahahaha this bloke speaking about credibility…… last I checked you were the one hiding assets no?"

After mentioning the incident, which forced Becker to serve time in prison, Kyrgios made sure to mention some of his achievements, like beating the likes of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray, which, in his opinion, adds enough credibility.

"Also I mean I’ve beaten, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray so I feel like I have a little credibility…. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Novak would wipe the floor against you in your prime? Like it’s not an attack. It’s just facts."

On top of that, the Australian player mentioned renowned tennis coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, who never had a successful tennis career, asking Becker whether the French coach also lacks credibility since he doesn't have a Grand Slam singles title in his collection, and he used the same comparison for Becker's compatriot, Alexander Zverev.

"Also… does that mean we both don’t have credibility @pmouratoglou ?????? Damn."

"Basically 99% of the tennis tour doesn’t have credibility then? Potato what about your boy Zverev? No credibilty? He hasn’t even won a doubles grandslam?"
