The Greek player held a live session with his girlfriend, Paula Badosa, responding to questions from fans. One of those asked was about his opinion on fellow ATP player Daniil Medvedev with whom he had a rocky relationship over the years.
From hurling insults at each other many years ago to dancing after beating each other recently, we've seen many things when it comes to them. Tsitsipas pivoted his response mostly to how he views him as a player avoiding any commentary on him as a person.
"I find him funny sometimes on the court when he has his antics. Obviously you wanna go and play tennis and not spend 10 minutes talking but sometimes they're fun especially when you see them again on replay."
It was largely by design as these things can easily be taken out of context but he did provide a pretty decent scouting report on the Russian. He certainly knows Medvedev well having played him multiple times and losing most of those.
He has a very unorthodox tennis, one of the most unorthodox tennis players I've seen but somehow he makes it work. He makes it work in his favour pretty well at times. He has a very unique style and is a difficult player to play because he serves big and doesn't miss a lot.
He's not a creator as a player. He doesn't create much of the play but instead, he waits. He reads very well and his patience is one of his strongest components.
