The 2025 Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia could be even better than the memorable 2024 edition, after a superb entry list was announced.
Last year's inaugural Six Kings Slam was memorable for containing the final match between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, although it did not count in their official head-to-head because the tournament is an exhibition outside of the ATP Tour.
Nadal competed well, but Djokovic ultimately prevailed. After that match, the 24-time Grand Slam champion paid an emotional tribute to his now-retired rival and said he wished the Spaniard could keep playing.
Jannik Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz to win an extraordinary $6 million, the highest prize money in tennis history. The world No. 1 claimed the money did not matter much, but many did not believe him.
That was Sinner's most recent victory against Alcaraz, but it also did not count in their head-to-head. The five-time Grand Slam champion has beaten his rival in official matches five consecutive times, including their extraordinary 2025 Roland Garros final.
Alcaraz and Sinner have committed to returning for the 2025 edition, scheduled from October 15th to 18th. The pair have been the best men's players by far since the start of 2024 and will be the favorites to reach the final again.
Winning the last two iterations of the French Open and Wimbledon shows that Alcaraz is the best on clay and grass. Sinner's dominance on hard courts is the most significant reason for his being No. 1, making him the Six Kings Slam favorite.
The Six Kings Slam organizers are undoubtedly thrilled to secure Djokovic's services again. His position as tennis's most statistically successful player means fans worldwide want to see him play.
Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune were the other players last year, but they are not on this year's entry list. Nadal's status as a retired player means three new faces will appear in Saudi Arabia in October.
The current Top 6 before the end of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships are the players on the Six Kings Slam entry list. World No. 3 Alexander Zverev, who some were surprised did not get chosen in 2024, is set to make his debut at the event.
Zverev has experienced a challenging time since losing the 2025 Australian Open final to Sinner. After being defeated in the opening round at Wimbledon, the German admitted to being in a difficult place and was open to the possibility of seeing a therapist.
Jack Draper is the second new player. The Briton has enjoyed an exceptional last 18 months, including winning the 2025 Indian Wells Open and reaching his maiden Grand Slam semifinal at the 2024 US Open.
Taylor Fritz is the other man on the entry list. He has consistently been the top-ranked American man due to results like being the runner-up at the 2024 US Open and 2024 ATP Finals. The 27-year-old recently spoke about his son not being with him for those moments.
Last year's Six Kings Slam lived up to the hype. Hopefully, it can do so again and give the fans in the stadium and worldwide much great tennis to enjoy.

2025 Six Kings Slam Entry List:
