The 2023 Montpellier Open is only one match away from knowing its champion and one of the semifinal matches provided a lot of entertainment for fans in France.

One of the most talked-about matches was the semifinal between Holger Rune and Maxime Cressy. The first set of the match was a hard-fought battle, with both players putting up a strong showing. In the end, Cressy managed to edge out a win, taking the first set 7-5. The second set was equally intense, with the two players battling it out in a tie-break.

In a crucial moment of the tie-break, after getting the first mini-break, the young Dane was serving and Cressy went to change his racquet, but Rune didn't notice it. As a result, he served to no one, and the point was replayed.

Despite this setback, Rune managed to regroup and win the second-set tie-break 7-3, putting himself back in the match. However, the third set was not to be for Rune, as Cressy stepped up his game and took the lead. The final set was another tie-break, and Cressy played with great confidence, taking the win 7-4.

Cressy's victory means that he will now face Jannik Sinner in the final of the Montpellier Open. Sinner has been in fantastic form throughout the tournament and will provide a stern test for Cressy. The final promises to be an exciting encounter, with both players looking to claim the title.
