Carlos Alcaraz turned many heads at Wimbledon and he's doing that at the Hopman Cup as well with a hilarious video proving that.
Carlos Alcaraz is a proper head-turner when it comes to tennis as it's impossible to be enchanted by the way he plays tennis. Some of his best came at Wimbledon recently as he defeated Novak Djokovic in the final. The match didn't even happen a full week ago but the Spaniard is already back to swinging racquets in Nice.
He signed up to play in the Hopman Cup and despite a very brief rest period, the Spaniard followed up on that promise to travel to Nice and actually play at the event. He spoke before the event admitting that he still feels tired as he didn't get a lot of rest time but was excited to play an event he grew up watching.
Yes, the Hopman Cup was a very popular event for much of his childhood and it was hard to say no. Being able to play a mixed doubles match certainly proved quite alluring as well as he never did that before. Unfortunately, it didn't go that well and Masarova and Alcaraz lost that one easily.
He won the singles though as he took on David Goffin who troubled him for a very long time before the Spaniard managed a comeback to win the match. He will also play two more matches against Croatia on Saturday and that will be until the Canadian Open.
According to his own words, he won't play anything until the Canadian Open on August 7th and after that, we'll see him in Cincinnati and the US Open naturally. When it comes to the Hopman Cup match, well check out this moment when he walked by a ball kid. It's pretty funny.
