Alcaraz Details His Schedule For US Swing After Wimbledon Triumph

Carlos Alcaraz has had an amazing season so far but the Spaniard is far from content, sharing his plans for the upcoming few months.

Carlos Alcaraz recently won the biggest trophy of his career at Wimbledon by beating Novak Djokovic in the final. It was his second Grand Slam trophy overall, but he's planning to add a few more in the future. Perhaps even this year, as he's the defending champion at the US Open.

There is quite a bit of time left until the US Open, but it's not that far away, with about a month to go. The Spaniard already has a plan in place for how he's going to tackle that part of the ATP calendar, and he shared that during an interview at the Hopman Cup.

Alcaraz was playing against David Goffin not even a full week after his Wimbledon success, and despite a shaky start, he managed to win the match and give Spain a chance to beat Belgium. However, he eventually lost along with Rebeka Masarova in the mixed doubles.

When it comes to his plans, Alcaraz admitted that he's focusing on the Canadian Open in Toronto and the Cincinnati Masters. His goal, as always is to win the events, but obviously, the US Open is the premium event. He confidently named it as his main goal, which isn't a surprise.

I focus on Toronto. It’s a Masters 1000, a very important tournament. As I’ve always said, I come to every tournament thinking I’m going to win it and believing I can win it. Right now, I’m focusing on Toronto and Cincinnati.

Alcaraz is certainly going to take some time off after the Hopman Cup, as he's unlikely to play any more events before these two upcoming Masters events.
