Stefanos Tsitsipas and his brother Petros recently won an ATP trophy in Antwerp, and apparently, it's all because of
Paula Badosa.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa have been dating for quite some time now.
Despite some recent breakup rumors, the pairing is going strong as they both try to handle their tennis careers on top of their relationship.
Badosa not playing a lot recently certainly helps that, as she's been spending a lot of time with Tsitsipas on the Tour. She was in Antwerp recently,
watching the Tsitsipas brothers win their maiden trophy together. According to Stefanos, she's actually the official coach of the duo.
Winning our first doubles title together meant so much for me, for him, for my parents that were there, for Paula who is our doubles coach. Not a lot of people know that, but she was the first person to spend 3 or 4 hours with us at the US Open, coaching us for the doubles.. she was there along the way, preparing us for these kind of matches & being present.
- Tsitsipas reveals Badosa as the brothers doubles coachIt's an interesting revelation and quite the endorsement of Badosa's coaching. The brothers have been playing doubles together for a very long time, but it never really amounted as much.
Petros is the specialist as he plays far more doubles than Stefanos, but the older brother is not bad either, collecting a few trophies in his career. It all came together for them in Antwerp, so we'll see whether they keep improving under the watchful eye of coach Badosa.
Tsitsipas is in Paris this week, but the brothers are not playing in the doubles event as he looks to preserve himself for the ATP Finals that are coming up.
