Holger Rune is one of the players that likes to show his emotions and his mentor Patrick Mouratoglou is a big fan of it.

Only recently, the two stopped their relationship as a coach and a player after six months on the ATP Tour, but Mouratoglou is still seen in Rune's box and he likes to talk a lot about the young Dane too.

That is because of multiple reasons. One of them is that he's working with the 20-year-old and tries to give him valuable advice. Another reason is that he's not the only one talking about Rune, as the youngster is one of the most promising talents in the world of tennis right now.

In the latest episode of the Eye of the Coach, the French coach spoke about his former protégé and he talked specifically about his passion and ability to play with the crowd and use their energy to win matches.

"In Monte-Carlo, in a few matches, he’s been able to take a lot of emotion out, but not in a way that would affect his game and in a way play with the crowd and have the crowd lift him up. And I think it was a big asset for him."

Mouratoglou also acknowledged that being so passionate isn't always good. However, he highlighted benefits that not just the Dane harvests, but also the crowd that can see him fired up on the court.

"Sometimes, it can be negative for him and this is what we work on to try to get out of the way. I think he’s doing well and he’s improving a lot there. I love the fact that he’s so passionate on the court and it’s great and I think’s it also great for the crowd."

"And I love the fact that he’s trying to channel himself to be as efficient as he can during a match, because when the emotion too big, too high, it also consumes the player. And at some point, the tank can be empty when you need it. And this is what happened maybe in the (Monte-Carlo) final against Andrey Rublev."
