Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the younger players who are trying to dethrone Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal from the top of tennis.

The Greek player has won a couple of notable events in the past notably two Masters events (both in Monte-Carlo) and the ATP finals a couple of years ago as well. Stefanos Tsitsipas also played in one grand slam final and almost beat Novak Djokovic but like many before him, he ultimately failed.

Still, Stefanos is adamant that the younger players are closing the gap to the big three which is true to an extent but when it matters the most, the legends deliver. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal combined won all three Grand Slams so far played this season so there is still room to improve.

"I think we're getting closer to them. Of course, they were the best generation of players in history, so it was not easy to make a breakthrough. But it was they who helped all of us raise the level of the game and reach a new level."

Tsitsipas also singled out Sinner and Alcaraz as the best among the youngest with many great players coming up as well:

"In my opinion, Sinner and Alcaraz are ahead of the rest, but there are many young and dangerous players on the Tour. Tennis has a great future."
