Djokovic credits Nadal and Federer for shaping him as a player

Novak Djokovic gave credit to Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer for shaping him as a player during his press conference in Belgrade.

Djokovic has been out of the public eye since winning the Australian Open but he resurfaced on Wednesday in Belgrade to hold a press conference. He touched upon many subjects including his rivals which he credited for shaping him as a player.

We grew up through the juniors together, although he started to have excellent professional results much earlier. Federer and he shaped me the most as a player.

Djokovic and Nadal played 59 matches against each other and number 60 might happen soon. Asked about it, Djokovic wants it to happen at Roland Garros, preferably in the final.

60. match? Roland Garros final! I think he and I would both agree that it should be there. He is definitely my biggest rival. Not only because of the number of matches, we are generationally close
