Nick Kyrgios reacted with absolute disappointment to the video of Medvedev being called a loser by a fan in Montreal.
A video of Daniil Medvedev leaving the court in Montreal appeared online in which a fan calls Medvedev a loser. It happened after his loss to Kyrgios and it shows Medvedev reacting to the insult by confronting the fan and talking it over with him.
He was escorted by security during the entire time and the video became viral in the span of hours. Kyrgios himself saw the video and he reacted with absolute disappointment on it. He wrote on Twitter:
"Disgusting behaviour. This is the best we have in the sport, fans need to show some respect."
Kyrgios has been outspoken before defending himself and other players and it's quite known that tennis players suffered a lot of scrutiny on social media daily. Some even received threats after losses but Medvedev did not just stand by.
