2023 Paris Masters ATP Entry List - Djokovic, Alcaraz, Medvedev & more

The 2023 Paris Masters is the ninth and the last ATP 1000 on the tennis calendar, and this year's entry lists feature a fabulous lineup of world-class names.

Held traditionally in the first week of November, this year's tournament will run from October 30th till November 5th at the Palais Omnisports. The event is held on an indoor hard court and represents the last chance for the ATP's established band to claim silver before the ATP Finals.

A lot is at stake at this year's tournament. Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will continue their long battle for the year-end No. 1 ranking in this year's race which will most likely go down to the wire. The race to Turin could be decided in the French capital too for those players jostling for the last remaining slots in the eight-man tournament at the season-ending finale.

Djokovic leads this year's entry list after reclaiming the World No. 1 ranking en route to his 24th Grand Slam win at the US Open. It will be his first outing since steering Serbia to the Davis Cup Final 8 in September. Second-seed Alcaraz and third-seeded Daniil Medvedev have been hard-court stalwarts on hard courts in 2023.

The Serbian has won four titles in Paris-Bercy, which is more than any other player. But the ATP's roster is at full strength and will be expected to challenge Djokovic who could have rust-related issues during the week. Outside the usual suspects (Alcaraz and Medvedev), the likes of Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, and Alexander Zverev have an impressive pedigree in these conditions and can cause an upset or two.

Rune is the tournament's defending champion having defeated Djokovic in last year's tournament, and he'll be buoyed by that result when he returns to Paris. Players like Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur are all seeking to qualify for the ATP Finals.

Among the Top 16 seeds in this event is 2018 champion Karen Khachanov who recently broke his duck by winning the Zhuhai title. Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime will look to finish the season on a flourish to avoid tumbling down the ATP rankings.

There will be a debut appearance for 20-year-old Ben Shelton. Long-term absentee Pablo Carreno Busta has signed up for the event with a protected ranking. Four players will join the main draw as wild cards, while seven more names will enter via the qualifying route.
