From April 17th to 23rd, players will have a chance to showcase their clay-court qualities at the 2023 Munich Open and the entry list is already out.
Last year, Holger Rune won his first ATP title in Munich and then enjoyed a ride on the court in a brand new BMW as the car manufacturer sponsors the event, which is often referred to as the BMW Open. In 2023, the young Dane will defend his title.
Over the past 12 months, Rune made huge progress, and therefore, after winning an event as a wild card in 2022, he will return in 2023 as the top seed. On the way to the title last year, he defeated then-first-seeded Alexander Zverev, and also the German will make an appearance at the event in 2023.
Dominic Thiem received a wild card for the 2023 edition of the Munich Open as the Austrian wants to get back to winning ways and what better way to do it than on his favorite surface quite close to his home town.
The entry list also includes the likes of Taylor Fritz, Matteo Berrettini, and last year's finalist, Botic van de Zandschulp. Be sure to check out the full entry list for the 2023 Munich Open below.
