In 2023, the Dubai Championships will be held for the 31st time and the prize money and points distribution matches its star-studded entry list.
The ATP 500 event, which is held at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was founded back in 1993, and has since established itself on the ATP Tour. This year, it's one of the most-rewarding events for players, and that's also why the likes Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, and Andrey Rublev signed up.
Almost $3 million will be distributed to players that will compete in Dubai from February 27th until March 4th and the champion will get more than half-a-million and 500 points for the ATP Rankings.
Last year, Andrey Rublev won the title and he will be facing a difficult task, as he will certainly want to defend those points and his title. Last year, the runner-up was Jiri Vesely, and reward for the player that loses in the final this year is 300 points and $287,320.
Defeated semifinalists will be rewarded with $153,125 and 180 points, while the quarterfinalists get $78,235 and 90 points. Although players don't get any points for losing in the first round, they are awarded $22,270 and so they surely can't say they left the United Arab Emirates empty handed.
