Venus Williams was asked about the rise of pickleball lately during a Q and A and she is glad that people are picking up any kind of racquet.

Tennis stars have been sharing their opinions on the racquet sport, which combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, and is growing in popularity in the US. When asked why tennis players were talking about it, Venus Williams explained that it simply looks very interesting and a lot of fun.

"Pickle ball is growing and I’m happy to see folks with any kind of racquet in their hand."

Noah Rubin, a tennis professional and former Wimbledon junior champion, has made the jump from playing tennis part-time to doing it full-time. While not on the Tour, John Isner was seen participating in the activity, and a few other players have also given their opinions on it.

"I love pickleball. Isn’t it fun? And I love that it’s everywhere now. It could be a second career of mine. I love it, it’s a lot less running" said the sister of Venus, Serena who recently hung up her racquet.
