Venus Williams's new book, Strive 8 Steps to Find Your Awesome, will be released on Tuesday. It details how to live a happy and healthy lifestyle, and she spoke about the book in a recent interview.

Venus has enjoyed one of the longest careers in tennis history. The 44-year-old last played at the Miami Open in March of this year, losing in two sets to the immensely talented Diana Shnaider.

Although almost six months have passed since her last match, Venus has not announced her retirement. That means her incredible career could be extended further, although that will unlikely happen until 2025.

The seven-time Grand Slam singles champion's influence is widespread. Naomi Osaka credits both Venus and Serena Williams for their role in giving representation in tennis, saying she would not have gotten to the top without them.

A topic Venus has not spoken about much in the past is how she has managed her impressive longevity. Most of her success is because of her happy and healthy lifestyle off the court.

The American will widen her influence further by discussing her lifestyle more comprehensively in her upcoming book, which has caused much excitement among her fans.

Venus strongly believes that people living their best lives is only possible if they are well. She elaborated on this in a recent interview with FIRST For Women.

"It’s about helping others live their best lives and live well. Being well is living your best life. As an athlete, I know the importance of that discipline and perseverance and how that helps, but also, more importantly, it’s about having fun. Being disciplined doesn’t mean you can’t be happy and enjoy yourself."

In her book, the older of the Williams sisters wants to help people make healthy choices. Those healthy choices encompass food, relationships, and how people think.

"My goal with this book is to help others to get healthy and to be happy, and to find a place where people have the strength and the habit of making healthy choices to take care of themselves."

"It’s about healthy choices in how you eat, your relationships, how you think, all of those different things — those simple steps that you can practice each day until they just become second nature."

Venus's Ability to play tennis into her 40s would not have been possible without a healthy lifestyle off the court, which kept her in the right physical and mental state to compete effectively on the court.

The five-time Wimbledon champion sharing tips about how she lived her life in a way that kept her healthy and happy will hugely benefit readers and undoubtedly help many in their lives.

It is unclear whether Venus will ever return to the court. She may have taken time away from the sport to write and promote her book, possibly planning one final push next year. That topic is uncertain, but the message and intention of her book are entirely clear.
