Rafael Nadal is one of the best tennis players in history but for Swiatek, he's always been the best of them. She idolized the Spanish player growing up and similar to Nadal, Swiatek prefers to play her tennis on clay. There is a lot of things she took from him over the years and he continues to inspire her to this day.
I would say the most inspirational player for me on tour is Rafa Nadal because he's never giving up, and he can win matches even though everybody is thinking like he's going to lose it. He's always developing. Even though he's the greatest in the world, he's always changing something and trying to improve.
Swiatek is not only gathering inspiration From Nadal. She is inspired by many people, including those in her close circle. It's just her nature, to take inspiration wherever she can. She explained it recently in Doha.
