Aryna Sabalenka had no problems against British player Jodie Burrage at the US Open, cruising in two simple sets.

Sabalenka is one of the favourites to win the US Open, as she nearly did it last year. It was eventual champion Iga Swiatek who ultimately proved better in that match, though Sabalenka is hoping to get revenge this year.

It's going to be tough as many others are trying to do the same but don't underestimate the hunger of Sabalenka. She's enjoying her best year yet even though her level hasn't been that impressive recently. She's been great at Grand Slams this year.

So far, so good for the Belarusian as she cruised in her most recent match against Burrage. The opening set was a pretty standard Sabalenka experience, as she was incredibly dominating during rallies. We saw plenty of winners (12) and an equal amount of unforced errors in the opening set, which was enough to win the set 6-3.

Burrage generally likes to play aggressive tennis, and she can hit the ball well but couldn't do much against Sabalenka. There was just too much heat coming from the other side of the net and 8 unforced errors added to that.

The second set was pretty much more of that as Sabalenka continued blasing winners with a good amount of unforced errors. Her opponent failed to assert herself in any capacity during rallies, which proved to be her undoing.

Burrage is a solid player but on the level of Sabalenka, and this match showed that. In the end, Sabalenka had 28 winners, 22 unforced errors, 7 aces and 3 double faults. It was enough for the final score of 6-3 6-2 for the Belarusian, who will face Clara Burel in the next round,

The French player took out Karolina Pliskova which Sabalenka will be glad about.
