Due to her humanitarian efforts, Iga Swiatek has been nominated for the UN Women's Rise and Raise Others Award.

Swiatek has inspired millions of people worldwide with the incredible tennis she has produced, winning the French Open and US Open and going on an extraordinary 37-match winning streak from February until the third round of Wimbledon in July.

However, Swiatek is also an advocate for mental health awareness. Her work in that area, despite being just 21 years old, has been extremely impressive, showing that the Pole is wise beyond her years.

Swiatek demonstrated her support for the issue by donating all her prize money from the Ostrava Open to aid Mental Health Awareness Day. She was the runner-up to Barbora Krejcikova.

The three-time Grand Slam champion has also spoken powerfully about mental health awareness despite being naturally introverted, showing how much she wants to support those struggling.

Swiatek's efforts have been deservedly recognized after being nominated for the UN Women's Rise and Raise Others Award. That is a prestigious honor only given to those doing truly outstanding work in a given area.

"I really wanted to play well here to have a big amount of money to donate and I'm pretty happy that I could do that- I really want to spread awareness and let people know that they can use the help if they need it, or help others if they have resources. I'm pretty happy to use my position that way."

Swiatek will hope to end a memorable season with even more success at the upcoming WTA Finals. The year-end tournament will be played in Fort Worth, Texas.
