Coco Gauff has been called the future of tennis since she arrived at the scene as a 15-year-old teenager at Wimbledon.

The American never embraced that label simply wanting to become the best player she can be. In a recent interview, she reflected upon being attached to that label on the pressure that comes with it. She's dealt well with it but it's not something she wanted.

Definitely, it puts pressure on you. I never label myself that. I always said I just want to be the best that I can be. It definitely adds pressure to it, especially when you have these losses, people say things about you, the rest of your life.

Gauff has been in tennis for a few years and she's still very young. It helps her deal with the pressure because it allows her to remind herself about the fact that she still many years ahead of her.

I have to remind myself I think I have a long career ahead of me, so I can't really dwell on the outside comments early. I also have to remind myself, just looking at other players, their experience, how they've kind of had a bad year one year, then had a great year the next year.
