Bianca Andreescu defeated Emma Raducanu in their second-ever match at the Miami Open improving to 2-0 against her and she's certain that Raducanu is trending back to the top 10.

While in control for the most part, Andreescu did have some moments where she was under a lot of pressure from the British player. Even with a wrist injury and at 35 % by her own estimates Raducanu made it very hard for Andreescu to win and the Canadian walked away from the match rather impressed.

I think she’s playing great tennis. Honestly, it’s super nice to see that because she hasn’t been playing that much. Injuries, this and that. I can relate in a way. I mean, not at that scale, but…

That was likely the last of Raducanu that we see in a while as the British player is likely to step away from the sport to heal the wrist injury. Andreescu has no doubt that Raducanu will return to the top 10 once more because her level has just been so high even with the injury hampering her.

I’m really happy that she’s back at it and playing like this. If she continues playing like this, she can definitely get back into the top 10.

Injuries are the biggest concern for Raducanu as she's dealt with so many despite not being a professional tennis player for a very long time. She recently admitted after her loss to Swiatek that she's feeling really confident of the way she's trending with a strong belief that she can be one of the best athletes on the Tour. It's a belief she shares with her team.

When I’m telling you I haven’t trained, like I haven’t trained. Physically I feel like that’s going to be one of my biggest assets. My team has spoken about it. I think that I’m going to be one of the best athletes on the tour, and that’s going to be a big part of my game.
