2023 Roland Garros French Open WTA Draw - Swiatek, Sabalenka, Rybakina & more
From May 28th to June 11th, the WTA Tour moves to Paris for the 2023 Roland Garros, or the French Open, and the draw was released.
Last year, the fans in the French capital saw another triumph of Iga Swiatek who defeated Coco Gauff in the final of the only clay-court Grand Slam event. In 2023, both players will be in Paris defending their performance.
The first-seeded Pole will begin in the first round against Cristina Bucsa from Spain, while Coco Gauff will be facing Rebeka Masarova in her first round at the 2023 Roland Garros. The second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka will want to forget the disappointing loss from Rome against Marta Kostyuk in the first round.
Elena Rybakina will be also the name that everyone will keep an eye on. The Kazakh won in Rome and she will be one of the favourites also in Paris. In the first round of the tournament, she will play against one of the qualifiers or a lucky loser.
But the newly forming 'Big Three' on the WTA Tour won't be the only players that fans will be focusing on. Ons Jabeur hopes to delight her whole continent and she will try to make the first step in the first round against Lucia Bronzetti.
The third-seeded Jessica Pegula will be also one of the players to keep an eye on, and the highest-ranked American will clash with fellow American Danielle Collins in the first round of the competition.
