Former Vienna Open champion Alexander Zverev is cruising through the draw as he added yet another great win at the ATP 500 event.

Zverev never had any issues against Cameron Norrie in the past, and he certainly didn't have any issues this time around. The Brit has generally been all sorts of bad in recent weeks, which makes this result even less surprising.

While Zverev had a bad showing in Japan, the German quickly found his best tennis in the opening round match here, and he followed that up with a great performance in this one as well.

The start of the match pretty much showed us how this one was going to go. Zverev opened with an early break, and from there, it was rather easy as he added another break later on.

Norrie had a chance to break back but didn't, allowing Zverev to serve out the set 6-2 easily. He was far more aggressive and served better than Norrie, which was all he needed to outplay the Brit.

The second set was pretty similar as Zverev once again took an early break which certainly eased any nerves. The German still served great and dominated on his serve, barely giving Norrie any chances.

On return, he proved a proper wall, giving his opponent barely any easy points. Norrie can play attacking tennis, but it's his style of play generally. You can frustrate him into errors if you force him to attack you, and Zverev is very good at doing that.

Ultimately, Norrie never found comfortability from the baseline, allowing Zverev to cruise to the finish line. The final score was 6-2 6-4 for the German, who moves on to face either Andrey Rublev or Matteo Arnaldi in the next round. Zverev finished with nine aces, 24 winners, and only nine unforced errors.
