Fans were treated to a special moment as world number one player on the ATP Tour, Carlos Alcaraz, shared a video of his first on-court practice since his injury.

The 2022 season has been the most eventful season in the Spaniard's career. He has defeated two of the best players in the world, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, and won multiple trophies, including one at the US Open.

That also skyrocketed him to the world no. 1 spot in the ATP Rankings, but since then, the Spaniard has struggled to back up his results as he lost his first match as world no. 1 at Davis Cup, and also exited the Astana Open already in the first round.

Then, Alcaraz lost in the semifinals of the Swiss Indoors in Basel, to the same man who beat him at Davis Cup, Felix Auger-Aliassime, before making his way to the French capital, where he had another unpleasant experience.

Now, the Spaniard, who got injured during his quarterfinal match against Holger Rune at the Paris Masters, marked his first appearance on the court in more than a month, and fans were eager to see him hitting again.

The news of Alcaraz's return to practice has sent waves of excitement through the tennis community, with fans eagerly anticipating his return to the court. His next event should be the 2023 Australian Open, as the Spaniard didn't sign up for any 'warm-up' events in Australia.

"Back on court!" he wrote on Instagram in excitement, and similarly excited were many fans, as things were not looking good for the top-ranked player in the recent months. Now, he turns his focus to the 2023 season, which will be the first one in which he will be facing a lot of expectations, pressure, and title defences because of his successful 2022.
