Carlos Alcaraz surprised himself and many others by winning Wimbledon, and he's in no rush to process the undertaking.
Life is a funny thing, and while some things are rather easy to digest, some take a bit more time. Winning Wimbledon in the way Alcaraz did it will take a while for him to digest properly, but he's in no rush to do that. Life is treating him well right now as the number one player in the world and the reigning Wimbledon champion.
Even so, there is very little time to think about what has happened. The season is still going on, there are big events coming up, events Alcaraz wants to win. At the very least, he wants to prepare well so he can have a good shot at defending his trophy at the US Open. When the season is over, Alcaraz will have time to process all of his wins, including Wimbledon.
I have to wait and think about it for a while, because it's going to be difficult to realize that I won Wimbledon. Such a great tournament. It was my dream. So right now, I still can't believe it.
Whenever Alcaraz gets a chance to talk he mentions his team and his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero especially. He's always remained humble in his success explaining that it's a team effort and he once again talked bout just having a great team around himself.
You have to be surrounded by great people. I'm a lucky guy to have such a great team. I'm going to say the best team in the tour right now. But also my family, my friends are nice persons. For me, it's really, really important. As I said, doing great in tennis because of the people that I have around.
