Casper Ruud has been told that he looks like former One Direction member Niall Horan and he thinks it's great fun.
There are beliefs around the world that each person has a lookalike or two somewhere out there. While for most of us, it doesn't seem that we will find that person, there are quite a few celebrities that do have some level of resemblance and being in the public eye makes it easier to spot it.
Even among tennis players, there are a few examples with Marat Safin famously looking like an actor on Grey's Anatomy. That is apparently the case for Casper Ruud and Niall Horan, a singer most known as a former member of One Direction. The Norwegian player is aware of the comparison and he addressed it when asked by reporters about his thoughts on the resemblance between the two.
Yeah, I think I have seen some pictures where we resemble a little bit more than others. Sometimes yes; sometimes not so much. That's fun.
Ruud picked his own favourite from the tennis players noting how Karen Khachanov looks like Liam Hemsworth, a pretty famous actor whose brother Chris Hemsworth is famous for his role as Thor. Ruud noted they look way more alike than he and Horan do.
I think there are a couple of other players I have also seen who look like other famous people. And I think the most one that I find personally, like, so similar is Khachanov and Hemsworth, one of the Hemsworth brothers. It's a joke how much they look the same. I don't think, you know, me and Niall Horan is the same.
Ruud should probably ask Andrey Rublev about the level of resemblance because Rublev is a One Direction fan. He even had a funny moment with Medvedev when they ran into one of the other members and Medvedev was oblivious to who he was. The Norwegian hasn't given it too much though as he's focused on Roland Garros.
