It is rather known that Novak Djokovic is the least popular member of the big three but that doesn't make him the villain in Cerundolo's eyes.

When you add the personality of Djokovic on top of his lower popularity you get a perfect storm which makes him one of the most openly disliked players on the Tour. Djokovic has always been pretty real and true to his beliefs and most people don't like it. The tennis community and people in general likes individuals who mostly keep quiet and agree and that's not Djokovic.

That's why he's been branded the villain of tennis by many but for Francisco Cerundolo that's not the case. The Argentine said:

"I don't see [Novak] Djokovic as a villain. Quite the contrary. What happens is that people are very much in love with [Roger] Federer and [Rafael] Nadal. Novak says what he feels, it's authentic."

Cerundolo further reaffirmed his belief that Djokovic will certainly end up with the most grand slams which some consider the best stat to determine which of the three is the greatest of all time. He's currently one behind Nadal and one ahead of Federer whom many consider out of the race anyways:

"Surely, Novak will pass both in Grand Slams won. Djokovic is the one who moves the most to help the players who earn the least. To those who play Futures or challengers:"
