'Not Everything Has To Be Clean & Elegant': Tsitsipas Glad Netflix Filmed Kyrgios Conflict

Stefanos Tsitsipas took part in the filming of the Netflix tennis show Break Point and he was glad one particular moment was filmed.

Tsitsipas held a really strong interest in filmmaking and camerawork from a very young age and he dabbled in it by opening a Youtube channel. The Greek player was delighted about the chance of filming Break Point while admitting that he would have loved to direct one episode as well.

He's been one of many players taking part in the show and at last year's Wimbledon we saw the two of them facing each other. Both Tsitsipas and Kyrgios had crews following them at the event and they faced off in a very heated clash that started their feud.

In a Q and A of the show, Tsitsipas admitted that he was glad about the moment being captured on film because it showed the passion of both players towards winning which is what tennis is all about. You're all alone on the court trying your best to emerge as the victor.

I had one moment where I actually felt grateful they were there with my match I think with Kyrgios at Wimbledon. It was a moment where [there was] so much drama, and I'm glad they filmed it.

Another great thing according to Tsitsipas is that it showed both sides during the match believing it was great for the sport. You know the 'there are two sides to every story'. Well, it certainly proved true with this one and Tsitsipas liked that it showed the rawness of the moment.

Yeah exactly, that's it. It opens for the truth to be told and shared and each person's perspective of things. It's good for the sport, it's good for the sport. Not everything has to be clean and beautiful and elegant...
