Nadal Going To Return In His 'Top Level' Says Compatriot Alcaraz

| by Zachary Wimer

Carlos Alcaraz thinks that Rafael Nadal will return to his top level in 2024, which isn't surprising as he has a vested interest in that.

Alcaraz and Nadal are both Spanish and are both likely to play at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The youngster spoke often about his dream of teaming up with Nadal at the event in hopes of winning gold for their country.

The fact that both are spectacular tennis players on clay can only help as Nadal was quite receptive to the idea of playing with Alcaraz as well. It will largely depend on Nadal remaining healthy and playing well.

Neither thing is for certain, but Alcaraz certainly hopes that Nadal will find his best tennis, making both of their dream more likely to happen.

Per BBC, the Spaniard said that his compatriot looked pretty good in the practice videos that circulated online. Knowing Nadal and seeing that makes Alcaraz think that he should be capable of finding his best tennis in 2024.

I saw some videos of him practising, he's 100%. I hear from other players that they practised with Rafa in these past weeks and they said that he's going to return to his good level. His top level. "I think he's ready for great things this year as well.

None of us know for certain what might happen but we'll get the answer soon enough. His official return to action is only a few days away as the Brisbane International event begins on January 1st and then we'll see what kind of level he'll bring.

It will be rusty at the start but a little better at the Australian Open and with each next event. Clay is where many assume Nadal might do some real damage if he remains healthy, but that's so far away it doesn't make much sense thinking about it.
