Humble Djokovic ‘Not Going To Say How Difficult His Life Is, Because It’s Not’

Novak Djokovic is living an exceptional life but much of it was earned with hard work and dedication to his craft for many years.

He was fairly young when he first picked up a racquet and it was the most pivotal moment of his life. He would elect to become a professional tennis player in the future, a choice that changed the sport's history forever.

Widely regarded as one of the best players ever, Djokovic is a role model for a lot of people around the world. He's idolized in his native Serbia as well, something that he takes very seriously. Everything he does is carefully contemplated and there have been many tough choices made over the years.

There's so many difficult decisions and choices I had to make in my career, in my life. I mean, it's hard to pick one and say, Okay, this is something that has created anincredible transformation in my life. I think the most important one was to be a professional athlete, a professional tennis player. At that time when I was really young, a teenager, I didn't know what it means to be a professional tennis player, all the pros and cons.

A prolific hard worker from the early stages of his career, Djokovic is not one to disregard the amount of luck that he had in his career. He always maintains that he was very lucky and very blessed to be able to do what he's doing and he did it again.

I was very lucky in my career, in my life, to experience what I have, to be granted by God this opportunity to be able to play so long and be so successful.  It's the sacrifices that you have to make really on a daily basis, that we all have to make. I don't want to sit here and tell you how difficult my life is, because it's not (smiling). People with far more difficult things that they're experiencing in their lives. I've been blessed, no doubt about it. I think it's important to understand that we all are human beings and we all go through our own difficulties and challenges and obstacles.
