Goran Ivanisevic, the coach of Novak Djokovic, is not sold about Djokovic winning the US Open as he joked about it recently.

Ivanisevic is known as a person who likes to joke around and he demonstrated that once more by joking about Djokovic's US Open prospects. As it's known, Djokovic can't enter the US as of now due to not being vaccinated and it's highly unlikely that will change at all. Djokovic is not willing to get vaccinated, the US Open won't apply for an exemption and the country won't change its entry policy.

Hence why Ivanisevic joked about it while being back home in Croatia. Asked about Djokovic winning the US Open, Ivanisevic said:

“I am more optimistic that I will win Umag if I get an invitation from Tomislav [Poljak, tournament director], than Djokovic will triumph at the US Open."

Obviously, Ivanisevic won't play at Umag making Djokovic winning the US Open still more likely of the two unlikely scenarios.
