Aljaz Bedene played against both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic and he has a very clear view on who is better in what regard.
Federer and Djokovic are two of the three greatest tennis players in history. In the tennis world, there is widespread agreement on that, yet there is intense disagreement over which of the three is the best. After having the opportunity to compete against both, Bedene has his own opinions.
In an interview with Sportklub, Bedene explained that for him Djokovic had better results with Federer having more impact globally: "Let's not close our eyes, Roger had the greatest influence on tennis," explained Bedene who singled out Djokovic as the player most likely to end up with most grand slams, trophies, Masters:
"The best, in terms of results, will definitely be Djokovic. I am of the opinion that after the retirement of all the members of the elite trio, the Serb will have the largest number of Grand Slams, Masters, maybe even the number of tournaments. I have played with all three at least twice, “Nole” has the hardest ball, he is perfect."
Bedene is reasonably close to many players from the former Yugoslavia, but not particularly so with Djokovic. He really admires him for everything he accomplished in tennis and is aware that his start was significantly more difficult than those of either Federer or Nadal.
