Novak Djokovic recently parted ways with his agent, and he penned an emotional letter to them on social media.
Novak Djokovic has been a pretty consistent and stable player for much of his career, and a huge part of that comes from having a really solid team around him. While the people in his team are not a constant, some of them have been with Djokovic for a very long time.
For example, his agents Elena and Edoardo were with him for 13 years before they recently split and it was a pretty tough decision to make. Djokovic wrote an emotional letter to them on social media, thanking them for 13 incredible years.
He posted it on his various social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and others.
Dear Elena and Edoardo, It’s difficult to describe everything we have been through together for 13 years of collaboration in one message… My appreciation and love for you two personally goes beyond any professional relationship.
What you did for me and my family privately and amount of care and empathy you had all these years especially towards my wife and kids is something very special for me and I will never forget that.
Together, we created history of tennis and reached incredible heights in this sport. Your contribution to the success is vital and I thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ You will always remain in my heart as dearest friends and part of my family. Grandissimo abbraccio 🤗 e tanto amore 🧡
As of now, the Serbian is still without an agent, and he's in no rush to name one. It's an important decision to make of course but he doesn't have to make it quickly. The Djokovic brand is strong and it's not going away anytime soon so opportunities won't lack, agent or not.
