'Djokovic At Highest Level' Compared To Nadal And Federer Says Norrie

by Sebastian Dahlman

Cameron Norrie had his moments with Novak Djokovic, but he still considers him above Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at his peak.

Depending on your allegiance in terms of the Big Three, you might feel a certain way about Novak Djokovic, and his most recent success, with some predicting him to win up to 30 Grand Slams. It would certainly end the endless debates about who the best player of all time is.

While quite fun, it becomes a constant talking point, while in reality, it doesn't even matter that much. Mostly because it's such a subjective thing, what is the best ice cream? What is the best film? It's impossible to say because it means different things to different people.

While you can quantify sports because you have records and achievements, people will still prefer one or another for whatever reason imaginable.

When it comes to Cameron Norrie and his preferences, it's clear, he thinks Djokovic is the best when playing at the highest level. It's not a surprise because it's slowly becoming the prevalent sentiment in the tennis world as the Serbian keeps adding to his resume.

Djokovic was at the highest level of the three. It was the toughest match-up for me. But Novak has taken his game to the next level in the last few years and that is proved by the titles he has won.

Basing on who the toughest matchup is makes sense from the point of view of a tennis player, but some matchups are simply more complicated than others.

Juan Martin Del Potro notoriously gave Djokovic a lot of trouble, especially at the Olympics. Does that mean he's better than the Serbian? No, it's just the matchup.

I played Federer at Wimbledon two years ago and had a lot of chances in that match. I didn’t start too well and the first couple of sets in that match could have done differently. He played really well in the fourth set.
