Last year's Wimbledon was something very tough for Boris Becker because it was the first one in a while that he didn't personally attend.

Becker has been part of the BBC coverage team of Wimbledon for many years and not having him there felt odd to many people. It was even worse for Becker because he spent it in prison after being sentenced for fraud.

He got to watch it though and he watched Novak Djokovic lift another one. In a moment where everything became too much, Becker cried as he revealed recently.

While I was inside [jail], Novak supported me, he supported my family. I started crying when he started winning. I’m very proud that probably the best player of all time is part of this story.

Becker on Djokovic

Djokovic himself was very candid when discussing Becker's sentencing last year admitting that he felt heartbroken for someone he considers a friend. Becker was the coach of Djokovic until 2016 when the pairing split.
