Holger Rune changed quite a few coaches in the last few months, which he described as' a little bit of chaos' recently.
Looking back at what happened in the last few months, there have been many changes in the Dane's team. He was first coached by Patrick Mouratoglou, but they split and got back together a couple of times.
He then hired Boris Becker, who many perceived as a really smart hire, considering the German previously coached also Novak Djokovic, and it worked well. He would add the former coach of Roger Federer, Severin Luthi, at the end of last year, only for them to part ways after a few weeks.
Then, Becker stepped down out of nowhere, only for Rune to hire Patrick Mouratoglou once more. That's a lot of chaos, but when asked about it at the 2024 Indian Wells Open, the 20-year-old argued that it was the first time something like that happened to him.
"It's been a little bit of a chaos, to be honest, since after French Open last year. There have been a few changes, few different people over my career. Honestly it's really the first time it happened to me."
"I was with Lars, my first childhood coach, for all my life until I was 20. So I'm still 20 (smiling). But we stopped last year, and then I tried to find what fit the best to me and what I liked."
The clay season will be the big test for the young Danish player, as Rune played really well on it last year, and naturally, he should make another step this year.
"Tried a few options, and I'm very happy on how I have things now. I see a good future with that. I know Patrick very well. We created great results together, and we're on a mission."
