Venus Williams Seen Practicing At Rafa Nadal Academy In Mallorca

Venus Williams is back to practice as the American legend was spotted practicing in Mallorca at a certain Academy.

Venus Williams has been away from the courts for much of this year due to injuries. The legend made a comeback in Australia, but it lasted only two matches as she gave up on plans to keep playing because of yet another injury.

It's been a very long recovery for the American who only got back on grass recently after struggling to nurse herself to full health. She played two WTA events leading up to Wimbledon and then played a really solid one at the Grand Slam as well.

She lost to Elina Svitolina, a player that reached the semi-final, so that's not a terrible loss in any case. Williams was actually on top early in the match, but she slipped and seemingly injured herself, which didn't help her.

A big part of the year is coming up for her as she plans to play in Canada as well as Cincinnati and the US Open of course. The American has already started preparations for that but the location of her preparation is rather interesting. Williams isn't back in the US or in Canada, she's still in Europe, to be precise in Mallorca.

She's actually practicing at Rafael Nadal's Tennis Academy in Mallorca, which is a pretty nice place at this time of the year. This might be one of those trips that combine work and pleasure, as Williams does famously enjoy the finer things in life.

A picture from practice was posted on the social media page of the Academy. It's unclear how long Williams will remain in Spain, but she's probably going to go back to North America in the coming weeks. The Canadian Open begins on August 7th, so she still has time.
