The sport was played differently many years ago, and outfits were a crucial part back then. Even today, kits garner a lot of interest from fans and when you have players that are keen on fashion like Venus Williams is, well then you have a spectacle.
The American legend has always been in tune with fashion and aims to bring fashion onto the courts when she plays. She's not the first one, nor is she the most daring one, but making a statement was always part of her on-court persona. Speaking with People Magazine, Venus talked about that part of her personality.
I believe that looking your best makes you feel your best. I love to have fun with my tournament outfits and display how I’m feeling with my on-the-court outfits, whether that be sassy or powerful.
Just recently Venus had a big revelation about her Wimbledon outfit, a design that is part of her EleVen collection in partnership with Revolve. We can certainly expect her to do something similar for the upcoming US Open, especially since the event has no strict rules.

The American had a solid run on grass considering all the things that happened, and she'll hope to bring that to the North American leg of the WTA Tour. She has already started preparing for the upcoming events, which will see her play in Canada, Cincinnati, and the US Open of course.
