Swiatek Struggles To Find Similarities Between Herself And Sabalenka & Rybakina

Iga Swiatek was once again quizzed about the 'WTA's Big Three' and she was quite hesitant to talk about it seeing very few similarities between each other.

Due to Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina playing on a higher level than the rest of the Tour for much of this year, the media created a narrative about the WTA Big Three. While it's a clear comparison to the ATP's Big Three, none of the members of the WTA's Big Three were very receptive to the idea.

Swiatek was particularly dismissive of the description, not seeing any connection between it because they haven't achieved nearly as much as the ATP players. Being a very dedicated Rafael Nadal fan allows Swiatek the necessary expertise to pass that judgment, and she once again talked about it at the 2023 Canadian Open in Montreal.

It's hard to say. I think we are kind of managing our careers pretty well and taking care of the physical preparation as well, and that's why we can be consistent, I guess. But we're just playing well. I mean, what can I say?

Swiatek on similarities between herself and Rybakina and Sabalenka

She praised both of her rivals for having a great season but still explained that there is very little connection between them because they play different styles and have different personalities. The only similarity that she sees is working hard on their craft.

Aryna, she has a great season, and Elena as well. I mean, we have different game styles. We have different personalities. So there's not pretty obvious thing why we are, I don't know, more consistent, but we just are, and I guess we are just working hard.

Another similarity between them is that Swiatek and Rybakina are in the 3rd round of the Canadian Open. Swiatek defeated Karolina Pliskova to book a spot there, while Elena Rybakina outlasted Jennifer Brady,
