Emma Raducanu was observed sobbing and pointing to her wrist during her two-hour US Open practice session.

After the practice, Raducanu addressed the media, but she dismissed any questions about possibly not playing in the US Open. Although she is the defending champion, many predict that the teenager would lose early due to the pressure she is under to live up to last year's performance.

"I had a few small things, got a couple blisters, a bit of a niggle here and there. It’s just one of those weird days where you feel a bit like nothing, you just feel a bit out of it." - said Raducanu admitting discomfort during the practice session.

When Raducanu was questioned about crying, she was very dismissive, merely using the following phrase to deflect the question:

"Can't really explain myself to be honest. I mean, I have no concerns of an issue, no."

According to reports, it appears that Raducanu is having the greatest trouble with her serve, but it's tough to tell for sure until she plays an entire match. She plays Alize Cornet in round one.
