Christopher Eubanks recently spent some time with Naomi Osaka on a tennis court and he has some good news to share.

The American has known Osaka for many years and they practised more than once over the years. One of those practices happened recently with Eubanks and Osaka sharing some time on the court in Los Angeles. Speaking about his practice with Osaka on the Tennis Channel, Eubanks revealed that she's still quite sharp and works hard.

I had the pleasure of practicing with her. I told her, 'Hey, I'm coming to LA'. Her first question was, 'Did you bring your rackets?' I said, 'Absolutely'. We got together. She's still striking the ball exceptionally well.

I can tell you she's working extremely hard to be able to maximize what she's able to do post-pregnancy and she really wants it. She's coming out motivated and I think it's going to be great for a lot of fans.

Eubankas recently saw the fruits of his practice at the Miami Open where he made a big run earning his best-ever result at an ATP event of any category. On the other hand, Osaka herself hasn't played at all this year due to being pregnant but she reiterated her intention to return to tennis a few times. According to Osaka herself it should happen at the 2024 Australian Open.

Coming back from pregnancy is nothing that hasn't been done before and Osaka should certainly have an advantage in that regard as she's going to be doing it at a younger age than some of her colleagues like Serena Williams and Tatjana Maria have done. According to noted coach Brad Gilbert she should have a really good chance to return to the top of the tennis game.

Eubanks seemed to have confirmed that with his recent interaction with Osaka. She is indeed working on her tennis right now.
