Aryna Sabalenka demonstrated her hilarious side during the trophy ceremony after the 2023 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
Sabalenk is a very hardworking player who is low-key enjoying the most successful tennis season of her career. She became a Grand Slam champion earlier and she's made a few finals at big WTA events already.
One of them came in Stuttgart where she lost in the final to Iga Swiatek. It's the same scenario that happened to her last year and despite joking about wanting to finally win the Porsche, Sabalenka ultimately came up short. She showed her lighthearted side during the ceremony joking about it in various ways.
I have a question to the sponsors of the tournament and the tournament director and everyone who makes this event possible. Can I make a deal? If I make another final, just get an extra car. Guys I really try to play in the final and leaving this tournament without the car.
It wasn't all jokes for Sabalenka as she naturally was very complimentary of Swiatek and her level displayed in the match. She also praised the organiser for another fabulous event as she really enjoys it. It's been a few years that she's been coming to Stuttgart consecutively.
But anyway, thank you very much for making this amazing tournament happen. I really enjoy playing here, not that much right now because I lost in the third final. Straightaway it hurts but it's a great tournament.
