Alexander Zverev continued his Cincinnati Masters run with another solid performance beating Adrian Mannarino in straight sets.

Zverev and Mannarino played several times so far, and the German generally held the upper hand. He did it once more in this match and comfortably so, as he never really faced any sort of issues. He controlled the match from start to finish to extend his winning streak.

It's been a while since Zverev lost a match in Cincinnati. He won the event in 2021 and continued the winning streak this year. The streak survived as he didn't play last year, and it currently stands at nine matches after this one.

The first set saw Zverev dominate with his serve easily, as he lost only a couple of points and obviously didn't face any break points. Mannarino, on the other hand, couldn't hit a serve to save his life, and it gave Zverev plenty of chances to push aggressively, which was enough for two breaks.

The second set opened with an early break as Zverev continued to dominate on his serve while doing enough on the return. Mannarino couldn't hit any winners, which isn't like him. He served a bit better but didn't create too much pressure with his serve, as the German looked invincible.

Beating Medvedev in the previous round obviously did wonders for his confidence which was trending in the right direction anyways. With the break in hand, Zverev had an easy time cruising to the finish line as he set the final score ended up being 6-2 6-3.

Zverev now awaits the winner of the Novak Djokovic - Taylor Fritz match. It will be played later today though he has a doubles match to play as well. He is partnering his best friend Marcelo Melo against Austin Krajicek and Ivan Dodig.
