WATCH: Super-Confident Djokovic Predicts Himself To Win 2023 ATP Finals

Novak Djokovic went undefeated last year at the year-end ATP tournament in Turin, and he's pretty confident about doing something similar this year at the ATP Finals as well.

When you're Novak Djokovic, you'll never not be confident about holding a racquet in your hand, but the Serbian generally avoided making bold statements in the past. He often took the humble approach, but we've seen him step up to be quite more forthcoming in recent years.

We've seen him really play that dominant role in the world of tennis, and he did that ahead of the ATP Finals in Turin as well. The ATP did one of their features where they ask players about bold predictions, and Djokovic jokingly predicted himself to win the event.

If I don't want to be humble and be honest, I'm winning the tournament. If I want to be humble I'm also winning the tournament.

Djokovic predicts himself to win the event

The Serbian might have struck a joking tone while he said it but don't be mistaken, he means it and he has every right to mean it. He's currently on an active winning streak which began all the way back in Cincinnati.

The last match he lost was to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon, and since then, he's beaten every player, including last week at the Paris Masters. He was undefeated in Turin last year and is generally a really strong indoor player, so why wouldn't he think about dominating at the event once more?

While the competition is fierce, none of the players really strike fear into your heart. He's beaten Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Andrey Rublev multiple times.

He's far more experienced than Holger Rune and Jannik Sinner at the event, and Alcaraz, who isn't even playing great right now, and might be hurt. All in all, not winning the event would actually be a surprise.
