Reilly Opelka shared his thoughts on the ATP player compensation model blasting the organization for it and tennis fans didn't like it.

It's challenging to voice any perspective online because no matter what you say, someone will disagree with you. When Reilly Opelka criticized the ATP's compensation mechanism citing the Japan Open as an example, he undoubtedly had firsthand experience with it.

The winner and finalist received less money than in 2018, and Opelka objected to seeing close friends Tiafoe and Fritz compete against one another for less money than years ago.

Tennis fans clash with him over his opinions and he responded to most of them. When one fan wrote: Again please do your research before you spout nonsense. I know you only have a high school education but still" Opelka sarcastically responded:

Im a dropout!"

Another fan wrote: "maybe take a stand and go on strike instead of just tweeting about it" and Opelka confirmed he's going to do it:

"Going on strike for the rest of the season bc of you Ed"

Earlier Opelka explained why he joined Twitter and it wasn't to join fans but to rather express his views on things.

"Im just keeping it real, someones gotta do it otherwise players will continue to be taken advantage of. I didnt join twitter to make fans. If I did I would just tweet about wearing masks and being vaxxed and have all the tennis twitter love in the world."
