'Really Hard With What His Body Has Been Through': Nadal Warned Ahead Of Comeback

Rafael Nadal is nearing his tennis return, but former player Pam Shriver finds it hard to imagine him winning Grand Slams again.

Rafael Nadal missed the entirety of this season due to a hip injury at the Australian Open earlier this year. He pushed back the surgery, hoping to make a comeback at Roland Garros, but ultimately, it didn't work out, and the Spaniard underwent surgery.

It was devastating news for all fans because it meant he would not be back this year. The recovery was painful and slow as he only recently started to really get back to practice.

We don't know how things are going because there has been radio silence from his camp; however, we can assume that it's going to be bumpy.

Nadal recently did an interview where he really played down expectations, admitting that he doesn't know how his return will go because it was a complicated injury and he missed a lot of time.

Pam Shriver agrees, as she talked about his return in the latest episode of the Inside-In Podcast, as she doesn't really know whether he'll be able to really win a Grand Slams.

It's simply too hard to imagine what sort of shape Nadal will be in when he returns. He might be healthy, but will he have the mobility he had before the injury? That remains a question, but it's unlikely, considering the severity of the injury and his age.

If he wants to really wants to have the ultimate goal which is to add to his tally of Majors I just think it's really hard now with what his body has been through. I do think the two out of three whether it's the Olympic games, there's certain things he could maybe try to manage and be respectable but I'm having a hard time seeing how this is going to go down.
