Andy Murray had great success at the Olympic Games over the years, and he hopes to play one more next year in Paris.

We're less than a year away from the 2024 Olympics, and tennis will be at the forefront. Played at the iconic Roland Garros complex, the event will be played on clay for the first time in a while.

Many players with excellent records in Paris such as Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, are excited but you'd find very few tennis players who are not excited. Andy Murray is among those as he hopes to play one more Olympic Games before he retires.

The Brit had a lot of success over the years, winning two gold medals (2012, 2016). He wouldn't be a contender for a medal this time around, but it would be a fitting end to one of the better Olympic tennis careers we've seen.

“I’d love to play another Olympics. I have had thrilling experiences throughout my career at the Olympics. I’ve loved every single one that I’ve been involved in,” said the 36-year-old this week.

Murray was in Tokyo in 2021 and had a really decent run despite not finishing with any medals. He had a chance in doubles as he made it to the quarter-finals, but he couldn't quite get it done. It's still something that bothers him to this day.

I’d gotten an injury right before the tournament and I promised my partner I would prioritise the doubles over singles if there was a problem. And we were very close to getting a medal in the doubles. We were up a set and 4-3, serving with game points in the quarterfinals and we had a really good chance and didn’t quite do it.
So I was really disappointed with the last one and I would love another opportunity to play next year in Paris. It would be my fifth Olympics and most likely the last one.

He'll have a chance to do better in Paris though it's not a great one as it will be played on clay.
